PRIORITIES

 A People-First Economy: As a proud member of the Economic Matters Committee, I’ve worked to shape legislation that puts Maryland’s working families and small businesses first. I’ve championed policies that invest in local economies, with a special focus on supporting small, minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. My efforts in Annapolis have helped break down barriers to access, expand opportunities for entrepreneurs, and ensure that those who power our economy—our workers and small business owners—have a fair shot at success. A people-first economy means making sure everyone has the tools to build a better future. 

 Protecting Our Environment for Future Generations: Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and Maryland must lead by example. I’m committed to preserving our natural resources and ensuring a healthy environment for generations to come. As sea levels rise and air quality declines, I’ve supported bold investments in clean transportation, the transition to 100% renewable energy, and modernized water infrastructure. Every Marylander—regardless of their zip code—deserves clean air, safe water, and a sustainable future. 

 Healthcare is a Human Right: Every Marylander deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare—no matter their income, background, or zip code. In Annapolis, I’ve fought to address healthcare disparities and expand access in underserved communities, particularly in the inner beltway. I’ve proudly helped secure tens of millions of dollars to bring healthcare professionals into the areas that need them most. My work is about more than just getting people to a doctor—it’s about making sure they can afford the care they receive. For too long, systemic barriers have kept families in our district and across Maryland from the treatment they deserve. I’m committed to breaking down those barriers and making the right to healthcare a reality for all. 

 Education for All: I believe education is the most powerful tool we have to break the cycle of poverty and create lasting opportunity. As Delegate, I’m committed to ensuring that every child—regardless of race, income, or zip code—has access to a world-class education. I proudly fought alongside my Democratic colleagues to pass the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, and I will continue working to fully fund and implement this transformative plan. Our students deserve safe schools, well-paid educators, and the resources to succeed—not just for today, but for generations to come. Building equity in education is how we build stronger communities and a brighter future for all Marylanders.
